Chemichemi Health Services
How do I earn CPD points?

You can earn CPD points by taking part in approved professional development activities such as webinars, workshops, and conferences that are accredited by recognized professional bodies. These activities are designed to enhance your knowledge and skills in your field.

To receive CPD points, you must attend events organized by accredited providers like Chemichemi Health Services. These organizations ensure their programs meet the standards set by licensing authorities such as the Kenya Medical Laboratory Technicians and Technologists Board (KMLTTB).

After your participation, the record of attendance is uploaded by Chemichemi Health Services in the KMLTTB portal for allocation of points. These points are then recorded  for verification and tracking.

  • CPD points become especially important when renewing your professional license. In Kenya, medical laboratory professionals are required to accumulate 50 CPD points annually to maintain their practice license through KMLTTB.
  • Beyond licensing, CPD points also support career advancement by demonstrating your commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
  • They help you stay competent by keeping you informed about new technologies, updated methods, and regulatory changes in your field.
  • Attending CPD events also offers opportunities to network with peers and industry experts, boosting your professional reputation.
  • Additionally, CPD points enhance your global competitiveness by validating your qualifications and making you more attractive for international roles.
What is Accredited CPD Training?

Accredited Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training reflects commitment to delivery of the highest standards in professional learning. Through independent accreditation by the KMLTTB, our programs meet required regulatory benchmarks. This validation assures participants that our training is structured, relevant, and aligned with best practices—enhancing credibility across healthcare and allied sectors.

The Benefits

CPD is a vital tool for maintaining and enhancing professional competence in today’s fast-evolving world. At Chemichemi Health Services, our CPD programs:

– Keep healthcare professionals and organizations up to date with the latest knowledge and skills

– Promote a culture of proactive, lifelong learning

– Support global standards and quality benchmarks in line with increasing international expectations

– Encourage consistent high performance and accountability in professional roles

– Demonstrate a clear commitment to excellence in patient care and service delivery

Most regulatory and professional bodies require individuals to complete a set number of CPD hours annually. Our training helps meet these requirements while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. CPD is no longer limited to traditional sectors—it is now a global standard, and Chemichemi Health Services is proud to be part of that movement.

CPD Records may fail to upload if the information provided in the CPD Registration Form is different from the one on file at the KMLTTB Online Portal. You need to confirm that you are filling your information accurately. Sometimes, practitioners enter letter “o” instead of “0” (zero) while keying-in their KMLTTB registration number. In other cases, practitioners whose registration starts with more than one “0” (zero) may have entered a single “0” while completing the CPD registration form.
